Two day exposure field visit of unemployed youth of Aalo west constituency at ICAR research Farm Gori
Two day exposure visit was conducted by ICAR AP Centre Basar in collaboration with department of agriculture west siang district. Around 20 unemployed educated youth from different villages of Aalo west constituency attended the programme. Dr. R. Bhagawati Joint Director ICAR AP Centre Basar welcomed the participants and highlighted the research various activities done in the Centre. He motivated and encourage the youths to become from job seeker to job provider .Coordinator of the programme from ICAR AP Centre Basar, Dr. Doni Jini Scientist (Veterinary extension) and team of scientist conducted farm visit at ICAR research farm Gori. During the visit plot wise detailed hands on demonstration of various technologies like Vanaraja birds ,Bokashi system of pig production, oyster mushroom, vermicomposting, budding technique in khasi mandarin, fishery, rice and pulse production and bamboo germplasm in agroforestry section was shown to the farmers.
The farmers were overwhelmed with the activities of the centre and suggested for conducting vocational training in different field in the future.
